Our business areas include plant and pipeline construction – from the concept phase to the turnkey plant. These include the dimensioning, the calculation and the verification of all pressure vessels, apparatus and system components. This work is complemented by the use of modern calculation software and finite elements (FEM)-based strength and stability analyses.

In addition, we plan and support structural solutions in the field of steel and reinforced concrete construction, such as foundations and concrete structures for machine and plant components in existing buildings. Our range of services also includes comprehensive planning for engineering structures made of steel and reinforced concrete – including static assessments of structures as well as the planning of repair and renovation measures.

In mechanical engineering, we take over the development, design and calculation of components and components up to finished assemblies.

Types of engineering

Depending on the project requirements, we offer different engineering types – from selective specialist support to complete project responsibility.

Pre-Basic Engineering / Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)

Based on various specifications / customer requirements, boundary conditions, evaluations and tests, we design the component to be developed, the construction / machine or the technical system in close cooperation with our customer.

Basic-Engineering

It includes the construction, the design, the design planning of a coherent overall concept with erf. Planning documentation as well as the preparation and detailing of the planning concept from pre-basic engineering including all pre-necessary calculations / dimensioning. This also includes scale-ups and rough dimensioning’s, 2D/ 3D designs or Design studies.

Detail-Engineering

In detail engineering, we create based on basic engineering, all documents / drawings / plan sets for the manufacturing / production.

  • Dimension and manufacturing drawings, material specifications, parts lists (bill of material) etc.

In addition to the 2D and 3D planning, the detail design, calculations and calculation documentation are created.

Technical calculations

Technical calculations form the basis for safe, durable and economical products, technical plants and structures. HAL-Engineering GmbH supports you with sound static calculations, strength, flow and vibration analyses throughout the entire planning and development process.

With the help of modern numerical methods and powerful finite element method (FEM) software, we analyse stresses, deformations and material behaviour – both linear and non-linear. In this way, even complex buildings and components can be analysed, optimized and designed in a realistic manner.

In addition, we carry out the classic design of machine elements up to natural frequency / modal analyses of a wide variety of components. Special solutions such as the design of pulsation dampers for piston pumps are also precisely calculated and implemented constructively at HAL-Engineering GmbH.

HAL-Engineering GmbH develops and designs tailor-made solutions in the field of mechanical engineering, plant -, steel- and reinforced concrete construction. From the initial idea to the design to the detailed construction, we accompany our customers with technical precision and a high demand for functionality and cost-effectiveness. This results in robust, maintenance-friendly and practical constructions that are precisely adapted to the respective application.

As well as in the field of steel construction, we create sustainable, standard-compliant constructions that are designed both functionally and statically optimally.

Pressure vessel, plant and pipeline construction

With years of experience in this field, HAL-Engineering GmbH takes on complete design and development tasks – from the stocktaking to the design to the auditable documentation. Based on plan sketches, specifications or on-site technical assessment, we develop safe and standard-compliant solutions for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and tanks. We take into account all relevant regulations and guidelines, such as the Pressure Equipment Directive, the water resources law (WHG) and many common national and international standards and guidelines.

We prepare verifiable design and calculation documents for the preliminary examination at an accredited testing body (e.g. TÜV, Lloyds) and we support you professionally in the entire approval process.

  • Testable design / proofs according to AD-2000, DIN EN 13 445 / 13 480 , ASME VIII
  • Pipeline planning / routing, pipe statics, pipeline isometries
  • Application of other recognized rules of technology (e.g. FEM calculation).
  • Dimensioning of pressureless containers / vessels, tanks according to DIN EN 1993-4-2 (Eurocode 3) or DIN EN 14015 (e.g. Flat bottom tank in the sense of DIN 4119 or container within the meaning of DIN 18800).
  • CAD drawings (2D/3D) and development of all documents necessary for a design examination.
  • EC – Conformity assessment and declaration, CE marking

Plant engineering

HAL-Engineering GmbH offers holistic plant engineering for a wide range of industries – from process engineering to the finished plant.

We carry out the complete development and design of plants and plant components and ensure precise dimensioning of all relevant components. We always keep an eye on technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness and operational safety.

Our experience ranges from plants for the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to plants for mechanical and thermal processes. In addition to new developments, we revise and optimize existing production processes. On request, we accompany the manufacturing, we will support you during commissioning and prepare the necessary assembly and operating documentation.

Engineering structures made of reinforced concrete

In the field of engineering structures made of steel and reinforced concrete, HAL-Engineering GmbH covers the entire life cycle of a building – from analysis and planning to tendering and construction supervision to maintenance. We carry out static assessments and evaluate supporting structures with regard to safety, load-bearing capacity and durability. Structure inspections according to DIN 1076 are also part of our range of services.

In addition, we take over stocktaking, condition determinations and evidence preservations as well as the planning of repair and renovation measures. Our expertise includes industrial plants, machine foundations, bridges, basins, tunnels and underpass structures. Through our construction support and local construction supervision, we ensure that buildings can be operated in a permanently safe and economical manner.
